© 2010 Section 24 Drainage
Our modern and diverse range of equipment allows us to carry out CCTV surveys in
almost any situation from small diameter pipe work to public sewers and culverts.
Our engineers hold the OS19X qualification and each report is written to the standard
set out in the Manual of Sewer Condition and Classification 4th edition and The Drain
repair Book 2nd edition.
Section 24 has a wealth of experience in this area covering anything from repair
and replacement to the installation of new drainage systems. We are also able to
install and commission all sizes of treatment works.
Section 24 uses high pressure water jetting to clear blockages, remove silt and de-scale
pipes. Were there is an ingress of roots we provide a specialist, high pressure
water root cutting service.
We have both van and trailer units available allowing us to overcome any access issues
with ease.
Drain Re-rounding & Re-lining
Re-rounding and Re-lining is a ‘no-dig’ repair method for deformed and delaminated
pitch fibre pipe ware. This modern technique provides a cost effective and timesaving
alternative to the previously intrusive excavation works that were required to replace
any defective pipes. This involves winching a steel re-rounding head through the
damaged section, resuming the pipes original shape. A full structural liner is then
installed to provide internal structural support, restoring the pipe to use.
Re-lining of drains is a very popular remedial technique for all sizes of pipe ware.
It eliminates the need for major works associated with excavation and renewing the
drain. Section 24’s patch lining service can be used to remedy localised damage.
It involves the placement of a resin impregnated glass fibre mat on an inflatable
packer. This is manually manoeuvred into the area of damaged pipe and then inflated.
Once the resin has cured the packer is deflated and removed, leaving a structurally
sound repair. Patch lining is a cost effective repair method where full structural
lining is not required.
